This is a homemade gift you can make for kids and I promise, they won’t think it’s lame (unless they’re like 16). It’s made out of common household items and is real fun to make and play with.

You can roll it into a ball,

then it will get flatter and flatter so that you can cut it into shapes or roll it into coils.

Whatever you do to it, if you leave it laying for a few minutes it will just melt back into a blob. It’s kind of neat to watch.

It’s not at all messy- another great reason to gift it.

Andrew likes to stretch it,

and make it into rope.

I think that this is one of those things that is just as much a gift for the mother of the kid that receives it as it is for the kid since it will occupy them for quite some time.

Flubbery Blubbery
I halved this recipe and used turquoise gel food coloring I purchased from Bake it Pretty.
In Bowl #1 put:
1 1/2 cups warm water
2 cups school glue
drops of food coloring
In Bowl #2 put:
1 1/3 cups warm water
4 tsp. Borax
Stir and mix both bowls together. Knead the flubbery blubbery and drain off any excess liquid. The more you play with it, the better the consistency.
This needs to be covered when not in use.
Have fun!

dumb question… what’s borax and where do you get it?
You can get it at most grocery stores, it is next to the laundry detergent. Here is a pic of it:

You only need a bit of it, but I use the rest for my laundry booster.
